Christmas at the House on the Rock
During this season, Sections 1 and 2 of The House on the Rock are transformed with all the splendor and joy of the Christmas Season. St. Nick takes up residence in a big way! As you stroll through Sections 1 and 2, you’ll be greeted by more than 6,000 collectible Santas of all sizes and types – large, small, fancy and homespun.
Christmas songs fill the air and colorful decorations create a holiday wonderland that includes Section 1 (the Alex Jordan Center, Gate House and the Original House and Infinity Room) and Section 2 (Mill House, Streets of Yesterday, Heritage of the Sea, Tribute to Nostalgia, Music of Yesterday, Spirit of Aviation and the Carousel).
- Section 3 is closed during the Christmas Experience (Organ Room, Inspiration Point, Doll House Room, Circus Room, Galleries and Doll Carousel Building).
- Visit is self-guided. We recommend that you allow 2 to 2 1/2 hours for the Christmas Experience.
- All on-site ticket sales end and last admittance to the Christmas Experience is at 2:30 pm. Complex completely closes at 5:00 pm.
- Food Area closes at 3:00 pm.
- Please dress according to the weather as parts of the tour include outside areas and walkways and some areas inside are cold. The indoor temperature is set to be comfortable while wearing a coat.

November 12, 2026 – December 28, 2026………….. 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Open Thursday through Monday (Closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day)
All on-site ticket sales end and last admittance to the full Christmas Experience is at 2:30 pm. The complex completely closes at 5:00 pm.
Admission Prices:
Adults age 18 and over: $29.95 plus 5.5% sales tax
Senior age 65 and older: $27.95 plus 5.5% sales tax
Children age 7 – 17: $16.95 plus 5.5% sales tax
Children 6 and under: $3.95 plus 5.5% sales tax

The House on the Rock is a private, family owned Attraction. To Ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our guests, please respect the following rules and policies:
• The House on the Rock is a large complex with several buildings, rooms and walkways. It is a walking experience that encompasses many ramps, varied and uneven surfaces and outdoor areas. Some areas may present challenges to visitors with known heart or respiratory problems, poor circulation or difficulty walking long distances, going up and down hills and negotiating stairs.
• There are a variety of indoor and outdoor air and temperature conditions. This may impact guests sensitive to allergens, humidity and/or temperature fluctuations.
•Due to architectural design, the Gate House and Original House in Section 1 are not accessible by motorized scooters, wheelchairs, walkers or strollers. Other areas have uneven surfaces and ramps that may be difficult to maneuver.
• Wheelchairs and scooters cannot be longer than 52″ to fit in our lifts. Our lifts have a 750 pound weight restrictions. Motorized scooters need to be fully charged to get through the accessible portions of the 3 sections.
• Strollers cannot be larger than 31″ wide and 52″ long. Stroller wagons, tricycles or other child transportation devices are not allowed. Strollers must be parked and left in the Hub (just before the Gate House) when visiting the Gate House and the Original House in Section 1.
• You must bring your own scooter, wheelchair, walker or stroller.
• Guests that are affected by claustrophobia and acrophobia may find a few areas difficult. Team Members are available to assist you with alternate routes.
• The House on the Rock is a visual and audio sensory experience. People with light and noise sensitivities may find the Attraction challenging.
• Only service animals assisting an individual with a disability as defined by ADA are allowed. Comfort, therapy or emotional support animals do not meet the definition of service animals and are not permitted. Guests who use service animals must retain control of their animals at all times and should keep them on a leash or harness while visiting. Service animals may not be in strollers, backpacks or carriers.
• No pets are allowed. Please do not leave your pet in your car. Consider pet daycare available in Dodgeville and Spring Green.
• Outside food, alcohol and non-sealable, non-bottled beverages are not allowed anywhere past The House on the Rock admission areas and may not be consumed anywhere inside of the complex or in the restaurants/food areas. Restaurants/food areas close at 3:00 pm. There are outside picnic tables and benches located near the oversized-vehicle parking lot if you choose to bring your own food and beverage.
• Parking lots and picnic area close at 5:00 pm. Entrance Gate locks at 5:15 pm and no cars will be able to enter. No overnight parking.
• The House on the Rock is a non-smoking facility. Smoking of tobacco, e-cigarettes or other products that produce a vapor or smoke is only allowed in marked designated outside smoking areas.
• Casual photography is permitted. No tripods are allowed. All commercial uses of photography or video is prohibited without advance written permission.
• The use of unmanned aerial vehicles or drones is not permitted anywhere on the property.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
• We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard and Discover – checks and Traveler’s Checks are not accepted.
• We may from time to time, without prior notice and without refund, liability or compensation, change the operation hours or dates, change the rates, close any outdoor area, exhibit or part of an exhibit temporarily or restrict the number of people having access to an exhibit or area if we consider the weather, safety or circumstances so require.
• We are a private family-owned, tax paying entity. Your admission fee exclusively supports The House on the Rock.
• Visitors must make advance arrangements to be picked-up or dropped-off as Taxis, Uber and Lyft are not available in our area.
• The House on the Rock is located in a rural area and Wi-Fi is not available and cellular service may be limited. Please check with your carrier.
