David and I wanted a unique wedding reception experience that would be enjoyable and memorable for our friends and family. The Wintergreen gave us that experience from the setup to the cocktails to the appetizers to an unforgettable dinner. Our guests raved about the wonderful time they had and wanted to return the next day to do it all over again. We loved the setting on the bluff along the trees and loved the privacy the facility provided for our event. Having grown up in the Taliesin area, my wedding had to be in a place that reflected its beauty. The Wintergreen’s vaulted ceiling, rock fireplace, and scenic overviews were the perfect setting for our special day. The Wintergreen is also a special place to me, as it holds a lot of memories. I remember learning to ski on the steep hills and then coming into the lodge to warm up. The lodge then transformed, into a magical backdrop for my school’s prom. I even had the chance to work at The Wintergreen, as I was a waitress for the House on the Rock one summer. I was always in awe when I worked wedding events – seeing everything come together and look so beautiful. The Wintergreen was my first and only choice for our wedding – and I couldn’t have been more pleased.

I loved having Shannon and Dan’s wedding at the Wintergreen. The place is so beautiful and the setting on top of the hill overlooking the Wisconsin River is gorgeous. And I loved having the place to ourselves. The staff was incredible to work with and made sure we made decisions in a timely matter. And I can’t say enough about the quality and presentation of the food. It was outstanding. Friends and family told us it was the best meal they ever had at a wedding. I highly recommend the Wintergreen.

The House on the Rock threw us the wedding of our dreams. We kept waiting for something to go wrong but nothing ever did. Melissa was a tremendous help and I would recommend the Wintergreen to anyone that is considering throwing a special event. Thank-you!
We were blown away by how wonderful the Wintergreen looks after the new carpet and slate tile was installed. The newer chairs also make a huge difference. Overall the space is fantastic and creates a dynamic backdrop to a wedding. We were so happy with how the venue looked. The huge fireplace and glowing votive candles added a nice touch (especially in fall!). The staff was so helpful in setting up tables and accommodating my time schedule with decorating. Last minute we decided to have our outdoor ceremony on the terrace and the staff did such a nice job taking care of setting up the chairs. It would be difficult to not have a beautiful wedding when having it at the Wintergreen! We couldn’t be happier about choosing the House on the Rock Resort for our special day. Thanks Melissa!

We love the House on the Rock, and holding our ceremony in the Carousel Room was a dream come true in every possible way! We’ll never forget it.
